Carol
Giacomucci has been dabbling in writing for most of her life.
Her quick wit and gregarious character allow her to make friends
easily, and she is seldom at a loss for words.
Being the youngest
of seven children, journaling became therapeutic and a useful outlet
in the midst of a hectic household. Lo and behold, her poetic style
emerged and her love for writing continues today.
She says that
writing is, for her, a cleansing and empowering activity. It helps
to sort through my emotions and clarify my thoughts so I can have
closure and move forward.
Carol Giacomucci
grew up in suburban Philadelphia and graduated from West Chester
University with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and a
Master's degree in Education. She has spent her free time
volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, PETA, and has also spent time
in Appalachia, Center City Philadelphia, and on the Navajo Indian
Reservation.
She worked for three
years as a case worker for the Department of Aging and has been an
educator for the past thirteen years, working with kindergartners to
adults. "The greatest part of teaching", she exclaims, "is that
every day is an adventure and no two days are the same!
Carol is an avid
cyclist and shares her home with her soul-mate and husband, Mark,
their family dog, Teddy, and two spoiled cats.
